Booking Terms & Conditions
Essential information for all guests — house rules, cancellation policy, and what to expect at Wonderland.
These terms apply to all bookings — whether you book direct on our website, through an OTA (Booking.com, Hostelworld, Expedia, Airbnb, etc.), walk in, or book via phone, email, or WhatsApp. By booking a stay at Wonderland Jungle Hostel, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to everything on this page.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in: 14:00 to 21:00. Late arrivals after 21:00 must be arranged in advance. If you fail to check in by 21:00 without prior notice, your booking may be cancelled as a no-show and charged accordingly.
Check-out: 11:00.
Reception hours: 09:00 to 21:00.
Payment
Payment is due in cash upon arrival. By confirming a booking, you authorise Wonderland Jungle Hostel to charge your card on file for any applicable fees, including cancellations, no-shows, damages, or violations of house rules, in accordance with these terms.
This authorisation applies to bookings made directly or through third-party platforms.
If your card fails or has insufficient funds, your booking may be cancelled without notice, and future bookings may be refused. Rebooking without settling unpaid fees does not guarantee acceptance.
Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation: 72+ hours before arrival.
Late cancellation (within 72 hours): first-night charge + 5% processing fee.
Same-day cancellation: charged for arrival night + next night.
No-show: full stay charged + 5% processing fee.
Booking.com, Agoda and Airbnb Policy: the booking platforms own cancellation policy applies.
Hostelworld Deposits
Deposits paid via Hostelworld are collected by Hostelworld, not by us. We do not receive, manage, or refund these payments. Any refund requests must be made directly to Hostelworld support.
Reservation Rights
While we do our best to honour all confirmed bookings, Wonderland Jungle Hostel reserves the right to cancel or refuse any reservation at our discretion to protect the integrity, safety, and operations of our business. This includes situations involving failed payments, false information, suspicious behaviour, previous policy violations, or other reasonable business concerns. Guests will be notified as early as possible.
Damage & Liability
Guests are financially responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or excessive cleaning caused during their stay. We reserve the right to charge the provided card to recover associated costs. If the card is invalid or payment fails, the guest may be blacklisted and banned from future bookings.
House Rules
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward our team, our property, and fellow travellers. By booking, you agree to the following:
- Outside alcohol is not allowed in our licensed bar, common areas, or guest kitchen.
- Guests may not bring unregistered outsiders into dorm rooms under any circumstances.
- Guests may relax in shared areas after checkout, but sleeping or remaining on the property overnight after check-out is not allowed. Thai law requires that all overnight guests be officially registered.
- Abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour toward staff or other guests will result in immediate eviction without refund. This includes shouting, insults, aggressive sarcasm, passive-aggressive hostility, or attempts to intimidate.
- Excessive intoxication leading to disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour is not tolerated and may result in removal.
- Illegal drug use or possession is strictly prohibited.
- Any attempt to manipulate, blackmail, or exploit review systems, payment disputes, or cancellation policies will be treated as fraud.
- Providing false information at check-in (e.g. name, nationality) may result in booking cancellation and refusal of future stays.
- Tampering with safety equipment, blocking exits, or creating unsafe conditions will not be tolerated.
- Harassment of any kind will result in instant eviction and blacklisting.
- Quiet hours: 23:00 to 06:00. Repeated violations may result in removal.
- All guests are expected to comply with Thai law while on the premises. Any behaviour in violation of local regulations may result in removal from the property.
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel bookings, or evict any guest without refund in cases of serious or repeated rule violations.
Group Bookings
Bookings of 6 or more guests are considered group bookings and may be subject to additional terms, including pre-payment or security deposits. We reserve the right to cancel group bookings made under separate names without notice.
Shared Spaces & Smoking
Guests are expected to treat all shared areas — including the kitchen, bathrooms, and common spaces — with respect and hygiene. Repeated misuse or disregard for cleanliness may result in removal without refund.
Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
Media & Photography
Group photos and general media may be taken in shared spaces for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any such content, please inform staff at check-in. We will respect your preference.
Review Policy
Reviews must reflect a genuine, good-faith experience based on an actual stay. Guests who violate our terms — including but not limited to damage, non-payment, fraud, abusive behaviour, or early removal — may forfeit the right to publicly review their stay under platform rules and fair use guidelines.
We reserve the right to contest any review we reasonably believe to be dishonest, exaggerated, factually inaccurate, retaliatory in nature, submitted by guests who were no-shows, evicted, or in breach of our terms, or in violation of OTA content guidelines.
Wonderland Jungle Hostel reserves the right to challenge or request removal of such reviews via platform channels, and respond publicly if necessary. We welcome honest feedback from guests who respected our policies.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or damages caused by events beyond our control including natural disasters, island-wide power outages, government regulations, political unrest, or transportation strikes.
Communication & Privacy
By booking, you consent to receive essential updates and communication via email, SMS, or WhatsApp related to your reservation.
We collect and store personal data necessary to process your booking and comply with legal requirements (e.g., Thai immigration reporting). Data is handled by Wonderland Jungle Hostel and may be shared only with booking platforms or government authorities as required.
Guests may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting us at wonderlandkohtao@gmail.com.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from a booking or stay shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Thai courts.
In the event of any conflict between these terms and the general terms of any third-party booking platform, the stricter policy shall apply unless legally invalid or unenforceable under Thai law.
